To find a book in the library, search it from the library home page.  You can enter any combination of title and author keywords, such as "cell biology pollard" or "evolutionary biology birds".

Use the menu on the left to filter results to books, book chapters or e-books under "item type."

Many newer titles are e-books. Rules around how much of the book can be downloaded may vary depending on the publisher. 

Print books may be located in the TFDL, or in our off-site High-Density Library (HDL), while biomedical books may be located at the Health Sciences Library (HSL). If a book is in the HDL or HSL, you can request it, and it will usually arrive by the next business day.

University of Calgary students, faculty and staff can obtain books, copies of journals articles and other documents not held in the the U of C Library through our Interlibrary Loan service.
