High Density Library
Please Note: The HDL Reading Room will be closed to the public from January 4, 2016 to July 31, 2016 to accommodate a large project. Apologies for the inconvenience. Material stored at the HDL may be requested online and delivered to other campus libraries for review.
The Reading Room is provided for consultation and research with material that is housed in the HDL.
Some of this material may also be signed out to registered library users.
Who May Use the Reading Room:
Students, staff and faculty who are currently registered with the U of C are welcome to drop-in to the Reading Room during open hours.
All other patrons may use the Reading Room by appointment. Please contact the HDL Manager by e-mail or phone (403-220-3763) to arrange an appointment.
Archival and special collections material may only be consulted by appointment with a Librarian, Archivist or Curator. Please contact Archives and Special Collections directly.

Borrowing HDL Material:
Books and journals from the general collection may be signed out from the HDL.
Patrons must have a valid University of Calgary library card in order to borrow library material. These cards include:
