You will find books, articles, primary sources and a variety of other sources if you use the main search box on the library home page  You will find more information about the use of the main search box and the types of material you will retrieve there through the Getting Started Tab above.

If you want to restrict your research to books (both print and electronic) that are owned by University of Calgary Libraries and Cultural Resources, you can do so by going directly to the Library Catalogue.  The Library Catalogue contains information about books, journals, conferences, government documents that are held at the University of Calgary and those electronic resources which have been licensed for use by University of Calgary students, faculty and staff.  In the case of electronic books, the library catalogue record will also include a link to that resource.

If you do not have a specific book in mind or know the name of a relevant author, it is best to start with a subject search using keywords.  Once you find a relevant item, look at the full catalogue record and use the subject headings assigned to that item to continue your search.
