Biochemistry

The Biochemistry program imparts a comprehensive understanding of the chemistry of the building blocks of biological molecules, complex biomolecules and their structure and biological function.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Analytical: Interpret results; make projections from data and determine probabilities; apply scientific concepts to solve problems.

Communication: Oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; ability to work independently and meet deadlines; presenting and communicating ideas clearly and articulately using current technology.                

Research:  Research skills; collection, analysis and interpretation of data using the appropriate laboratory and/or field techniques; organizing vast amounts of data.

Organizational:  Data, time and resource management.

Teamwork skills:  The ability to oversee, supervise and/or contribute to a project.

Technical:  Ability to operate laboratory equipment and to employ appropriate scientific lab techniques; operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
