The staff of Collections and Technical Services provide outstanding leadership, professional expertise and service in the acquisition, development and organization of information resources in support of the Academic Plan of the University of Calgary.
The mission of Collections and Technical Services is achieved through the efforts of an expert staff accountable for: collection analysis, collection development and evaluation, collection funding and budget analysis, expenditure of the collection budget including purchasing, receiving, vendor relations and invoice management, donor relations, bibliographic and in-print verification, license negotiation, cataloguing, metadata creation, preservation, processing and stewardship activities.
