A guide to the resources for geology and geophysics

What are guidebooks?

Guidebooks or field trip write-ups contain descriptions of the geological features along an itinerary and are great resources for local geology.  Typically they include a road log.  The University of Calgary Library has tried to collect as many regionally significant guidebooks as possible.  Our collection is by no means complete.  If you would like to donate guidebooks to us, please call (403)220-6042.

Finding Guidebooks

Use the Library Search Box to search for guidebooks that the Library owns.  Type the name of the geographic area of interest followed by these keywords (field or guidebook$).

E.g.  drumheller and (field or guidebook$)
