Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology

The aim of the disciplines of CMMB is to understand how the molecules within a particular cell type carry out these specialized functions.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Research and laboratory: Administer biological tests; collect and preserve field organisms; laboratory procedures and safety.

Analytical: Analyze and memorize large amounts of information; interpretation of experimental or laboratory results; observe and make measurements on organisms; analyze data for trends.

Teamwork: Oversee, supervise and contribute to a project.

Communication: Conduct research and present findings in written format; public speaking and oral communication skills; write scientific technical and non-technical reports.

Organizational: Manage time effectively; set goals; meet deadlines; demonstrate precision and accuracy in data collection and observation; data, time and resource management.
