PPOL: Public Policy

General Guide on Researching Public Policy. Intended for individuals enrolled in the Master of Public Policy program at the University of Calgary's School of Public Policy.

Other Services Available for the School of Public Policy

Photocopying, printing and scanning equipment is available in the Downtown Campus study space.  This is not being run by the library.

A Unicard with money on it is needed for photocopying and printing. Cash is needed to load money on the card using the Reload (Onecard) machine located in the study space.

A credit card may be used for loading money on to the Unicard, however, this is only done online by going to the Unicard website at:  http://www.ucalgary.ca/unicard/use-unicard

Debit cards can only be used in person and by going to the Unicard Office located in the Dining Centre, Room DC 18, on campus.

NB.  No machines will accept the Debit card.

The old Downtown Campus Library space is now a study space.  It is not run by the library.

The Unicard is a campus card that has main purposes including:

1. Library Borrower's Card

The Unicard is your library card and allows you to borrow books from the libraries at the University of Calgary

Remote access to electronic library resources

2.  Needed for Placing Holds

Holds require the first 9 digits of the barcode and the Student ID number

from the Unicard.

3. Remote/Off-campus Access to Electronic Library Resources

The barcode number (first 9 digits) at the back of the card and the Student ID

number at the front of the card are used to authenticate for access to electronic books, journals

and databases when off-campus.
