Find Books

Click here to search for print and e-books. You can enter an author, an exact title, or subject keywords (example: oil sands enhanced recovery). E-books will show up as links you can access. In many cases you can download all or part of the book, but some publishers place restrictions on this.

Information on where a print book is located can be found in the record for that book.

Many books of interest to biomedical engineering may be located at the Health Sciences Library or the High Density Library. Place a hold on the book to get it brought over to main campus. To place a hold, click the title link, and look for the "Place Hold" button in the full record. You can designate the Gallagher Library as your pickup location if you wish; it is the closest library to the Schulich School of Engineering.

E-books

The best way to find e-books is by searching our catalogue, but here are some links to specific e-book collections with biomedical engineering content:

  • Knovel Library Edit/Delete Quick Stats
Knovel is a collection of e-books on a wide range of science and engineering topics.

  • Encyclopedia of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering. NOTE: As of September 2017, we are having some problems with this e-book vendor. If the link doesn't work, clear your cache or try another browser. Also, the book is not displaying for online reading, but can be downloaded for offline reading if you create a free user account and download Adobe Digital Editions.
