Image Databases
3D model of human anatomy online and interactive functional anatomy.  Models can be rotated and layers of anatomy can be added or removed.

Information on saving images and exporting video clips or animations can be found at Non-commercial use of images is royalty-free so they are available for private educational use, e.g., PowerPoint presentations, lectures, and patient education.

VisualDX is a web-based clinical decision support system with 30,000 images covering 1,300 pediatric and adult conditions. VisualDX allows physicians to search by diagnosis, build a patient-specific differential, or look up drug-induced adverse reactions by medication.

Image URLs or screen captures may be used in presentations. Instructions can be found at The Logical Images/VisualDX watermark must be visible and intact.


Resources With Images

ClinicalKey provides access to over 900 top books, over 500 top journals, thousands of videos and millions of images.

These images and text may be used in Powerpoint presentations using Presentation Maker. You must create an account to use the Presentation Maker. Full instructions can be found in Section 4 of All copyright and other proprietary notices must be kept intact.


Graphic images in UpToDate can be easily exported to PowerPoint presentations using the Export to PowerPoint tool at the top of every image.

Images from VisualDX are integrated into UpToDate. Instructions can be found at A source reference to UpToDate and its copyright notice must be included.
