Publishing your undergraduate research

There are many journals that publish undergraduate research. Here is a small sample of journals. For additional recommendations, please reach out to your librarian.

Advanced Journal of Graduate Research

Advanced Journal of Graduate Research is multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed and indexed. It publishes research work that is carried out by Bachelor/Master Degree students as part of their degree requirements. Disciplines include all areas of Science and Technology including Life Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Agriculture Science, Medical Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science. This journal accepts original research articles, review articles and survey articles. Publication is free with open access availability of the published article.

American Journal of Undergraduate Research

American Journal of Undergraduate Research (AJUR) is a national, independent, multi-disciplinary, peer reviewed, open-source, no-cost-to-authors, quarterly, student research journal.

Canadian Journal of Undergraduate Research

The Canadian Journal of Undergraduate Research (CJUR) is a multidisciplinary bi-annual student-led publication that highlights work being done by undergraduates in all areas of academic research. CJUR publishes a variety of article types, including primary research, reviews, commentaries, and critiques. It was established in 2015 by University of British Columbia.

Journal of Young Investigators

The Journal of Young Investigators publishes undergraduate research from all scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, mathematics, and social sciences. The journal was founded more than 20 years ago and is entirely run by undergraduates.

Journal of Undergraduate Research in Alberta

Journal of Undergraduate Research in Alberta is peer-reviewed, published bi-annually, and based out of University of Calgary. They publish original research articles, case studies, methods and extended abstracts, in the following disciplines:biomedical engineering and science, including biomechanics, neuroscience, cellular biology/engineering and medical imaging.
