6S Evidence-Based Clinical Resources

This guide is intended to help the busy clinician find the best evidence quickly using a hierarchy of content by levels of evidence.

Studies can be found using bibliographic databases such as MEDLINE, PubMed, EMBASE or CINAHL


  • Can limit by “Clinical Queries” or “EBM Reviews” for evidence based results


  • The U of C version will connect citations with the content held in the U of C Libraries' holdings
  • Use “Clinical Queries” to find clinical studies or systematic reviews by using pre-set research methodology filters
  • PubMed includes MEDLINE, OLDMEDLINE, “in process” and “as supplied by publisher” citations
