How to Request an Interlibrary Loan

Request an Interlibrary Loan

Go to the Interlibrary Loan Request Form.

Interlibrary Loan is available to University of Calgary students, faculty and staff. Check the Library Privileges by Borrower Type webpages to see if you have interlibrary loan privileges.

Enter your UserID. Your UserID is the first nine digits of the 10 digit barcode on your library card.

Enter your PIN.

• Student, Faculty or Staff? Your PIN is initially the number on the front of your University of Calgary ID Card. If your number has leading zeros, remove them.

First time using the Interlibrary Loan Request Form? The system will require you to select a department and then update and re-log in to the web page again.

Blocked from using the Interlibrary Loan Request Form?

• Were you just issued a University of Calgary ID Card today?
• Did you just pay a library fine that was blocking your access to Interlibrary Loans?
• Every morning at approximately 6:30 AM, the interlibrary loan database is updated with information from the main library system. You should be fine the next day or contact staff at any Interlibrary Loan Service Point.

Forgotten or changed you PIN?

• Have staff reset your PIN to a new number. Phone (403) 220-5963 or go to any Borrowing Service Point.
• Have your PIN emailed to you.
