Open Educational Resources (OERs)

This guide exists to support the OER pilot program at the University of Calgary.

OERs Created at UCalgary

A number of OERs have been created by UCalgary instructors, either through the pilot project funding, other grants, or grassroots efforts.  Learn more about these locally-created OERs.

Repositories

An OER repository is an aggregator of resources that can be searched and accessed from a centralized portal. They contain free, open source, creative commons licensed, or public domain educational material. This list is in alphabetical order and the usefulness of any one resource will vary depending on your specific disciplinary needs.

Textbooks

The links below are open resources mega sites that offer open textbooks as well as other OER teaching tools.
