About Gallagher

The Gallagher Library opened in 1974 with support from John Patrick (Jack) Gallagher, a well-known Calgary geologist. Since then, the library space has expanded to become a two-level location on the first floor of Earth Sciences on the main University of Calgary campus.

The space includes study, collaboration and event spaces, computers, subject and functional experts, and unique collections, including the Arctic Institute of North America. Services include reference, research support, instruction, course reserve readings, book request pickup, and others.
