What is a Creative Commons Licence?

Creative Commons (CC) licenses are used worldwide to clearly let users know how a work can be used without them having to ask for permission. By assigning a CC licence to your research outputs, you retain copyright while allowing others to copy, distribute, and make some uses of your work.

The CC Choose a License tool will help you select the CC licence that will best suit your needs and preferences.
