Are you still supporting the Our Future Our Past and Our Roots collections?

The Our Future Our Past and Our Roots collections were created in the late 1990s - early 2000s with funding from: 

  • Alberta Community Development, Community Initiatives Program
  • The Alberta Historical Resources Foundation
  • The Alberta Knowledge Network
  • The Alberta Library
  • The Alberta Law Foundation
  • The Alberta Medical Foundation
  • Canada's Digital Collections
  • The Calgary Foundation
  • Calgary Exhibition & Stampede
  • Industry Canada
  • Libraries and Cultural Resources

The digitized collections include: 

  • 1500 medical history journals, books, reports, and photographs
  • 6000 local history books
  • 800 reels of early Alberta newspapers
  • 600 Alberta law bills, statutes, ordinances, journals, and gazettes
  • 3300 municipal bylaws

We are not currently adding to the collection, however, we will continue to manage, preserve and distribute these materials through our Digital Services unit.
