Nearly all books are highly accessible, and many include interactive H5P learning activities to engage learners.

The B.C. Open Collection is a curated selection of open educational resources (OER) that can be accessed by educators in B.C. and beyond to use in the classroom, in an institutional learning management system, or on other teaching and learning platforms. All materials are openly licensed. This means they are free to use, customize, and share. The collection includes courses and textbooks, and new resources are being added all the time.

The Directory of Open Access Books (www.doabooks.org), is a discovery service for peer reviewed books published under an Open Access license. DOAB provides a searchable index to the information about these books, with links to the full texts of the publications at the publisher's website or repository. The primary aim of DOAB is to increase discoverability of Open Access books. Academic publishers are invited to provide the metadata of their Open Access books to DOAB. These metadata will be harvest-able in order to maximize dissemination, visibility and impact.

At UCalgary, the H5P activities in this repository can be utilized through Open Education Alberta, UCalgary Blogs, and in D2L.
