Unicard
The Unicard is the official campus identification for students, faculty, and staff. Your Unicard is also your library card. You will need it to borrow books and for using the printers in the library.
Library Account
Your online library account provides an overview of your library activity, status, and contact information. Sign in with your UCalgary IT account (UCIT). If you don't already have one, please see UCalgary’s ’Getting Started Guide’ opens a new window for students.
You can review and renew loans, place holds, and pay any fines through your library account. If you don’t know how to sign into your library account, please review the Borrowing Services webpage.
Borrowing Services
Graduate students can place holds, request delivery of books from other locations to their nearest pickup location, and place interlibrary loan requests for items we don’t have in our own collections.

Interlibrary Loans
Current students, faculty, and staff can request an item that the University of Calgary doesn't have in our library collection. Please make sure to sign in to your library account before you request an Interlibrary Loan.
Workshops
The library offers skill-building workshops on a variety of topics throughout the year. Topics include citations, working with data, virtual reality, how to use library specialized spaces and equipment, and much more.
